Blistex Cold Sore Cream is a clinically proven anti-viral treatment for the early relief of cold sores on the lips.

Directions:

Blistex Cold Sore Cream is most effective when applied in the early stages of a cold sore. Start using Blistex Cold Sore Cream as soon as you get any cold sore symptoms. These include redness, itching, pain, tingling or prickling.

Apply to the affected area 5 times a day, at approximately 3 hour intervals.  Continue use until the cold sore is healed, usually 4-6 days but to a maximum of 10 days.

Do not start treatment with cream at the stage of an already developed blister or ulcer.

If you notice no difference after 10 days you should stop the treatment and contact your doctor.

Remember that Blistex Cold Sore Cream is your medicine. If you lend the tube to anyone you risk spreading the infection to others.

No serious problem should arise if you have used a large amount of the cream on your skin. No special treatment is necessary.

Ingredients:

The active substance is docosanol. One gram of cream contains 100mg docosanol.

The other ingredients are sucrose stearates, light mineral oil, propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol and purified water.
